Trip Itinerary

Morning: Depart from Moshi or Arusha

Begin your journey early in the morning. The drive to Lake Manyara takes about 2 hours from Arusha or 3.5 hours from Moshi. Enter the park and start your game drive immediately.

Midday: Game Drive & Picnic Lunch

Explore the park’s diverse habitats, from underground water forests and savannahs to the alkaline lake itself. Spot elephants, hippos, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, and possibly the famous tree-climbing lions. Enjoy your packed lunch at a scenic picnic site inside the park.

Afternoon: Final Game Drive & Return

Continue your game drive along the lake shore, keeping an eye out for flamingos and other water birds. Exit the park by mid-afternoon and return to Arusha or Moshi in the evening.
