The Chemka Hot Springs, also known as Kikuletwa, offer a relaxing oasis of clear turquoise water surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. This geothermal pool is a perfect day trip for swimming, lounging, and enjoying local Tanzanian nature at its best.

Trip Itinerary

Morning: Departure & Scenic Drive

Depart from Moshi or Arusha around 9:00 AM for a scenic 1.5-hour drive through local villages and open plains. You’ll enjoy views of Mount Kilimanjaro or Mount Meru on a clear day.

Midday: Relax at Chemka Hot Springs

Arrive at the hot springs by late morning. Enjoy swimming in the crystal-clear water, swing from rope swings, or just relax under the shade of the fig trees. Your guide will provide a picnic lunch on-site.

Afternoon: Leisure Time & Return

After a relaxing afternoon of swimming and sunbathing, depart Chemka around 3:30 PM and arrive back in Moshi or Arusha by early evening.
